October is #NationalPrincipalAppreciation month and we're going to celebrate each of them throughout the month! In our principal spotlight today is Mrs. Tani Houk who is our district K-12 Administrator. Mrs. Houk provides support across the district if principals are out of the building or simply in need of additional support! We are so grateful to have Mrs. Houk in Tenino and appreciate her dedication to our community! Thank you for all you do!

On September 18, 2024 TES had their first Celebration Assembly where they recognized students who exemplified the character trait "RESPECT: Accepting others for who they are, even when they are different from you, or you do not agree with them." Special guest Cheeto the Tiger made an appearance to cheer on the students.
At the September 23, 2024 Board Meeting, Tenino High School student Leah Noll was sworn in as a Student Board Representative. Student representatives have an important role in advocating for Tenino students by participating in monthly board meetings. Welcome to the Board, Leah!

Last night just before our school board meeting, Superintendent Endicott, Assistant Superintendent Jewell, and recent retiree, Debbie Barr participated in a ribbon cutting at the new Parkside Outdoor Learning Center.
In recognition and appreciation of those staff who provided coverage to our young Parkside Penguins for more than 30 years.

Mrs. Spahr has been in our district for just over 6 years! Her plans for retirement include some home remodeling, moving to Toledo and then taking a vacation to somewhere warm! Congratulations on your retirement Mrs. Spahr!

The Tenino School District wants to share that we had a technical malfunction with our equipment at Tenino High School, resulting in the false reporting of an emergency lockdown at THS. The issue is being investigated by our District’s Maintenance and Technology Departments.
We appreciate everyone’s understanding as we always want to keep our students, staff, and community safe.
In our Retiree Spotlight today is Mr. Charly Harrington!! Mr. Harrington has been the Principal at Tenino Elementary for the last 8 years but has worked in education for nearly 27 years! His plans for retirement include traveling around the country with his wife and pups in their camper van. Thank you for your dedication, leadership and for the impact that you've had in our community for the last 8 years Mr. Harrington, we wish you all the best in your newest adventure!
