The number one cause of Chromebook damage is dropping the device. Even if the damage isn't immediately apparent it makes a huge difference in Chromebook longevity! The best way to avoid dropping the device is to use the Chromebook on a desk or table, and to carry it appropriately. Students should close their Chromebook before carrying it, and make sure they are holding it securely. This applies at all times - even if they're bringing it to the teacher to ask them something, or bringing it to the library for tech support.

Conference Week Schedule for March 26-March 29
Monday, March 25 is a regular scheduled day.
Hello THS Families!
We are excited to announce that Student Led Conferences are just around the corner. This year conference week at THS will take place in the afternoon and evening on two days, March 26 and March 28 from 1:00 -3:30 pm and 5 – 7 pm.
During Student Led Conferences, students will have the opportunity to share with their family members their academic progress, their experience at THS, and the plans they have for their future. If you wish to discuss academic progress with their teachers, please contact the teacher directly, or reach out to us at 360-264-3520.
This year families will sign up for a conference date and time via Skyward. An email was sent via Skyward today from Terrie Beckford with instructions on how to sign up for your student’s conference via Skyward.
Also, a reminder that from March 26-29 THS will run an early dismissal schedule where all students will be dismissed at 11:50 am. On Monday, March 25 we will have a regular scheduled school day.
Sincerely,
Dr. Cameron
Principal

Who am I? What can I become? How will I become that? These are questions many of us ask throughout our lives — starting at an early age and, often, continuing through adulthood.

Parents of 9-11th graders.
You are cordially invited to Tenino High School’s AP Information Night on Wednesday, March 13th, at 7 PM in the THS commons.
AP (Advanced Placement) classes offer a rigorous, college-level curriculum. Passing an AP exam can earn a student college credit, and simply succeeding in the class will give a student an advantage getting into college. Approximately ¾ of colleges say that the number one thing they look for in an applicant is how many AP courses the student took. In addition, students who take an AP class tend to do better in college since they are used to the rigorous workload. Students who are not planning to go to college can also benefit from taking an AP class as they teach skills and a strong work ethic.
The school is excited to offer multiple AP classes that students can take next year, including our first ever AP class designed for 9th graders (AP Human Geography). In addition, we are offering AP World History, AP United States History, AP Government, AP Language, AP Literature and AP Statistics.
We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, March 13th, at 7 PM, where each AP teacher will explain their course to assist students in registering for next year’s classes!
Juniors and Seniors! The Better Business Bureau “Students of Integrity Scholarship” is due Monday, March 11th. This is your chance to win up to $5,000 in scholarships. Check your school email for details on how to apply.
